AYA-210: International yoga instructor course.
Course Overview:
This is a 210 hours yoga instructor-training course. The course is spread over 4 months duration out of which 70 hours is with the master teacher and the next 2 months are for self practice, distance learning, written assignment and assessment from the master teacher.

Perfect Yoga, Puchong, Malaysia.

Training Methodology:
A well researched and tested combination of theory, practical, group work, research, written assignments, presentations, self practice, apprenticeship, retreats & selfless-service to the community are used to bring out the best in every practitioner.

Target Group:
  • Potential yoga teachers
  • To deepen a practitioners knowledge of yoga
  • Group Fitness instructors/ personal trainers
  • For artistic expression of the self (dancers, painters, sculptors, creative conceptualizers, designers etc)
  • Athletes and sport persons to compliment sport specific training & enhance performance

Aim of AYA-210:
The course equips the participants with knowledge and first hand experience of yoga, history of yoga, classical texts of yoga, and application of anatomy, physiology and philosophy (both eastern and western), modern trends in yoga, Practical knowledge and techniques to perform various yogic practices, instructing these techniques to students, correcting postures, principles of care, teaching methodology, business concepts and ethics of a yoga teacher.

Eligibility:
Above 18 years of age, good written and verbal knowledge of English, in good physical and mental health, total commitment to the course for the 4-month duration.

Atmayaan's AYA-210 manual and APMB.

Other reference books: Anatomy of Hatha yoga, Illustrated light on Yoga, Anatomy of movements, Hatha yoga Pradeepika.

All the certified instructors will be capable of conducting independent yoga classes (basic and multilevel classes) or pursue a heightened personal practice, after the successful completion of AYA-210.

Note: There is an option of not taking up the certification exam.
